The Municipal Hall

     Ronda, Cebu was formerly called a "HULYAW", a banana plant, which grew abundantly along the banks of the settlement and a picturesque little city in Andalucia of Southern Spain, which is surrounded by an amphitheater of rugged mountains. It has been originated with a popular legendary story of Jolo, a pirates from Jolo who came out to plunder his village to loot and run away with properties and kidnap natives, who would be heard shouting “Jolo, ayaw!” or "Jolo, won't."

     There are two reasons why the town so-called name Ronda. First, Ronda before was a favorite hiding place of insurrectos or rebels and the law enforcers would raid (Ronda in Spanish) the town, while the 2nd reason which is more plausible one, is that the early Spaniards proposed the name because the place strikingly resembled Ronda in Spain. Both places are between highlands.

    The first Hinorno Festival of Ronda Cebu is the festival of all people on Rondahanons. They will offer a thanksgiving of their patron saint, Virgen de Soledad for being abundant and rich of the bananas in the town.

    Ronda’s main industries are livestock and agriculture.

Ronda is situated in the southwestern coast of the island of Cebu and is about 81 kilometers from Cebu City. The municipality is bounded in the north by municipality of Dumanjug, on the south by municipality of Alcantara and on the east by municipality of Argao and on the west by Tanon Strait.

Coral reefs have its own fascinating beauty; have its

own uniqueness and terrifying beauty as it is. It is one of the cause why Ronda has its beautiful seashore as well as the marine life. The beauty of its corals have evolved in a very unique image.

Undeveloped white sand beach

   Beaches,resorts and bay of Ronda gives a fascinating beauty of nature in where you can see how marvelous it is. Wonderful but terrifying water that accurately and deeply flows from with in. It's sweet cold water caresses our skin, where we can feel that where out of this world.You can paint the town red. The place is so nice over viewing its nature, as an act of a beautiful view. It's worth to be remembered.

        It is in human nature to think wisely and act in an absorb fashion. The town of  Ronda has its own happiness. A lot of wonderful places and event to enjoy. People were doing great and getting better than before. Its good to hear that Rondahanons have done their great and spectacular share.

The church

       The past is contained in the book where all things are written. We cannot blot out the record; but if we choose to learn them, the past will teach us its lessons. As we make it our monitor, we may also make it our friend.

     Parish church is one way we can talk to God and give thanks for everything he has done for us. Churches are said not just to be peaceful place but also a solemn place. Faith makes the up look good, the outlook bright, the in look favorable and the future glorious. Faithful Rondahanon have strong foundation of faith to God. Where peace and unity should have and must have. 

Festival Queen

     Festivals are one way to express our feelings and thoughts to everyone. Praising and giving thanks to our patron saint which is Our Lady of Sorrows. People were solid and united not just in every fiesta but also in every events that we have. We can see how people in Ronda holding hand in hand to achieve a great success of each events. Rondahanon has it all. The good virtues of human raise, for the welfare of all and for the betterment of the town. It's faithfully done and acted upon.
